The truth is most of the new “gym members” never even hit the gym once. There is something about the new year that makes people think that they will change and make a good change for themselves. Truth is a lot of people that make these resolutions use excuses constantly which makes their resolutions ultimately fail. Losing weight is easier said than done. It takes effort, time, and patience. If someone does not have the three of these things, they will not achieve their goal.

2. Eat Healthier

Eating healthy is the second most commonly broken fitness goal. The truth is this broken goal largely impacts the first most broken goal of losing weight. The reason why this goal fails is because people generally do not have the time that it takes, nor the patience to eat healthy. Also, it can be very expensive to eat healthy all of the time. Therefore, it is generally easier and simpler to just eat for convenience. This is what many people choose to do , and it results in the goal not being achieved. The people that do actually partake in a new diet restrict themselves to the point where it is not feasible to continue. It is more important to incorporate healthy foods into your diet than to adhere to a strict diet.

3. Quit Smoking

This is another big one. Because smoking is addictive, it can be extremely difficult to quit. It may even be the hardest resolution to actually stick with. However, it is also one of the most rewarding new years resolutions. The main reason why this is one of the most commonly broken resolutions is because smoking is addictive and it can require a ton of work and effort to actually achieve the result. A lot of people are simply not ready to put in that kind of work and determination to achieve a new years resolution.

4. Limit Alcohol Intake

This is another resolution that is commonly broken. A lot of people swear off alcohol after the Holiday extravaganzas. However, this resolution usually does not last and people are back to drinking relatively soon.
