CES is the biggest event in technology that is held annually in Las Vegas. It has served as the actual battle ground for the biggest innovators in the industry and breakthrough technologies for over 40 years. Every electronic manufacturer and brand works all year to display their latest and greatest technologies during this conference in order to “wow” the world.
CES showcases over 3,200 exhibitors. These exhibitors include; manufacturers, suppliers, and even developers of consumer technology. The event gathers together over 150,000 attendees from over 150 countries worldwide. It easily attracts some of the biggest players in the technology game.
CES features products from 15 consumer technology markets. Some of the biggest are including; Audio, Computer Hardware and Software, Electronic Gaming, Wireless and Wireless Devices. Some of the biggest releases that have been undiscovered at CES events in the past include; VCR, Compact Disc Player, Blu Ray Players, HDTV, 3DTV, and Ultra books. Needless to say, this event has one of the biggest, if not the biggest, impact on consumer electronics.
Companies plan their entire marketing based on when the annual CES event is going to be held. Some even utilize the show as their entire marketing plan. A lot of manufacturers and suppliers will purposely leak their intended plans to create hype about their upcoming product and/or technology that they are showcasing at the show. It is fun to watch bloggers and news outlets reporting the rumors and seeing whether or not they come true. If you look around the Internet, you will notice that everyone is talking about the CES show. Everyone is trying to figure out which manufacturer, supplier, and brand is going to take this year’s prize of the best at the show.

This year, the shift is towards multi functioning devices, tablets, and new TV technologies. There is expected to be a ton of great announcements by some prominent players in the consumer electronics industry. It is going to be an event for the ages. Only time will tell which manufacturers and suppliers come up with the greatest announcement at this years show. It surely is an exciting time in the tech world.
